Iftikar Thakur, is a Pakistani television and film comedian.[1] He has also starred in numerous stage shows and telefilms in different languages such as Urdu, Punjabi, Pothwari/Mirpuri. He currently stars in the comedy talk show Mazaaq Raat, where he portrays Ardli, an employee at the President House. Real name of Iftikhar Thakur is Iftikhar Ahmed. He adopted the name Iftikhar Thakur based on a character he played in stage dramas. Prior to becoming an actor, he worked in an auto repair facility fixing punctured tires.
In September 2015, Thakur protested India’s 28 August cease-fire violation,[2] by filing a court petition to permanently ban Indian films from Pakistani cinemas.[3] The petition was dismissed, with the court explaining that the ministry of culture would be the correct agency to petition.Majajan is a Pakistani Punjabi film directed by Syed Noor which was released across theaters in Pakistan in January 2006. It has celebrated its Diamond Jubilee at the Pakistani cinemas. Director of Majajan Syed Noor married the heroine Saima during the filming of this film.
