将棋の公式戦で一度も負けずに歴代最多の連勝記録に並んでいた中学３年生の藤井聡太四段が、２６日、東京で行われた対局に勝ち、連勝を「２９」に伸ばしました。藤井四段は連勝記録を３０年ぶりに更新し、プロ１年目にして歴代単独１位となりました。

藤井聡太四段は、去年１０月に史上最年少の１４歳２か月でプロ棋士となったあと公式戦で一度も負けることなく勝ち続け、今月２１日の対局で連勝記録を「２８」に伸ばして、昭和６２年に神谷広志八段が達成した最多連勝記録に並びました。

藤井四段は２６日、東京の将棋会館で竜王戦の挑戦者を決める「決勝トーナメント」の初戦に臨み、午前１０時から増田康宏四段（１９）と対局しました。

対局は早い段階から攻めにかかったのに対し、増田四段が反撃に転じ、終盤、藤井四段が再び攻勢に出た結果、午後９時２４分、９１手までで増田四段が投了しました。これで、藤井四段は連勝を「２９」に伸ばし、最多記録を３０年ぶりに更新してプロ１年目にして歴代単独１位となりました。

対局のあと、藤井四段は「途中苦しくなったので、最後はなんとか食いついたという感じでした。最後の最後までわからなかったです」と振り返りました。そして、「自分でも本当に信じられないというか、きょうも含めて苦しい将棋だったので、非常に幸運でした。次も強敵なので、全力でぶつかっていきたいと思います」と話していました。
