Baseball theft at 18 high schools more than 9100
先月から今月にかけ、関東や東北の県立高校で野球部のボールが盗まれる被害が相次いでいることが分かった。１８の高校であわせて９１００個以上のボールが盗まれている。
警察などによると、盗難被害にあったのは栃木・埼玉・群馬・茨城・福島の５つの県の１８の県立高校で、野球部のボールあわせて約９１５０個のほか、金属バットなどが盗まれたという。
被害は先月中旬から今月１６日までに集中していて、部室のカギをこじ開けられた高校もあった。
盗難被害にあった宇都宮北高の教頭「カギが壊されて、新しいボールが１２ダースなくなっていた。非常に学校としても残念だし、困っている」
警察は、同一犯による換金目的の犯行の可能性があるとみて捜査している。
