小野寺防衛大臣は記者団に対し、青森県沖の日本海で夜間訓練をしていた海上自衛隊のヘリコプターの事故で、新たに機体の一部を回収したことを明らかにしたうえで、引き続き行方がわからなくなっている３人の隊員の捜索に全力を尽くす考えを示しました。
２６日午後１１時前、青森県むつ市の海上自衛隊大湊航空基地に所属するＳＨ６０Ｊ哨戒ヘリコプターが夜間の艦艇への発着訓練中、龍飛崎の西南西およそ９０キロの日本海で連絡が取れなくなり、乗っていた隊員４人のうち３人の行方がわかっておらず、現在も捜索が続いています。
これについて小野寺防衛大臣は２７日午後、防衛省で記者団に対し、フライトレコーダーに加えて周辺の海域で新たにレーダー装置を覆う「レーダードーム」の一部を回収したことを明らかにしました。
また事故を受けて２７日午前８時以降、事故が起きたＳＨ６０Ｊ哨戒ヘリコプターの同型機について飛行を自粛しているということです。
すでに回収されたフライトレコーダーについてはデータの抽出を終え分析を行っているということで、小野寺大臣は「関係機関と連携して行方不明者の捜索に万全を尽くすよう指示している。フライトレコーダーの解析と救出された隊員からの証言を基本に、事故調査委員会で調査を進めることになる」と述べました。
