Shinjuku Golden Street “Graffiti” The appearance of a man on the camera
東京・新宿の繁華街でスプレーペイントを使った落書きの被害が相次いだ。その瞬間を防犯カメラが捉えていた。いったい何が目的だったのか。

今月１１日未明、東京の新宿ゴールデン街。犯行の一部始終を防犯カメラが捉えていた。
－防犯カメラ映像（１１日午前１時前）
路地を入ってきた２人の男。後ろをふり返り道端に座っている人物と何か会話をしているようだ。すると、１人が青いスプレーのようなもので壁に落書きを始めた。後ろにいる男は先ほどの人物とまだ何かを話している。近寄って落書きを見たものの、とがめる様子はない。青い服の男は気にする様子もなく、延々と落書きを続ける。
そして、書き終えると、スマートフォンで落書きを撮影しているような様子も。画像を確認しているのか、手元を見ながら立ち去る男。わずか２分ほどの犯行だった。

東京・新宿駅の東口から４００メートル足らずの場所にある新宿ゴールデン街。２００軒以上の店が立ち並ぶ都内有数の繁華街。２人組の男が落書きをしたのは１軒だけではなかった。
－防犯カメラ映像（１１日午前３時２０分頃）
別のカメラに捉えられた青い服の男。今度は店舗の白い壁に落書きを始めた。そして、もう１人の男も合流。すると、気づいた店主が出てきて男たちに声をかける。しかし、２人組はそれぞれ別の方向へと歩いていってしまった。なんと書いてあるのかは分からない。
この犯行の直後（午前３時２５分頃）、男たちの姿は別の店舗の前にあった。１人がどこかの店に入り、残された青い服の男は人目を警戒しているのか、辺りをふらふら歩く。
そして、人がいなくなった時、何かを取り出すような動作をみせた。店に入った男が出てくると、２人そろって立ち去った。１７日、男たちがいた現場を見てみると－。黒いドアにアルファベットのような落書きがあった。

落書きは、年々増えているという。
新宿三光商店街振興組合・和田山名緒さん「５年前くらいからチラホラ報告があって、気がついたらいつの間にか落書きが増えているような街になってしまった」
今年の夏からは落書き禁止と書かれた看板を立てているというが、被害は減らないという。新宿ゴールデン街の落書きについてはすでに警視庁に相談が寄せられていて、今回の被害者も被害届を出すことを検討しているという。
