The cats can look on advertising boards for two weeks from 12 September.
The aim is to offer a “relaxing, fun and light-hearted” space clear of commercial adverts, Cats said.
James Turner, from the collective, said: “It’s really caught people’s imagination – we all love cats.
“The idea of a soothing and peaceful space merely with pictures of cats and kittens is appealing. People are interested because there isn’t any brand, no commercial reason for doing it. ”
‘What the internet loves’
The images will be round the turnstiles (which your collective are calling feline flaps), down the escalators and prior to the platform. The aim is that, wherever people look, there will be felines.
The adverts will be word-free aside from one which will highlight the work of Battersea Dogs and cats Home and Cat Safety charities.
The idea emerged at a 200-strong group called View, which wanted to express how “friends and experiences are more valuable than stuff you are able to buy” said Mr Turner.
Initially they were likely to use pictures of forests along with the ocean.
“But then we thought about grabbing people’s attention and should use just the thing that the internet loves and cats were well-known answer, ” he added.
He said he loved taking that approach as it was “very subversive, as there’s nothing anyone can perform about it”.
“If you can’t possess a real cat, this will be your next best thing, ” he added.
